Judith Lasater, an
internationally known restorative yoga teacher, recommends that
restorative yoga be part of your practice. She suggests that you do
restorative yoga once a week to balance your active yoga, and once a
year, practice restorative yoga everyday for a week. This
class is designed to deeply refresh you for the New Year. Each class will
feature a different piece of music as part of the healing work you are
doing. I am arranging for a space in North St. Paul or White Bear Lake. The best restorative yoga uses lots of props to support you completely in a pose. This is a fabulous way to relax and let your body's internal healing processes work their magic. Once you set up the pose, you often stay in it for 10-20 minutes. I include some restorative yoga in my classes. Another wonderful way to learn it is to learn it in your home, using the props you have available (couches, pillows, bolsters, blankets, quilts etc.). This allows you to go beyond what you are able to do in class with a few yoga bolsters and blankets. If you want a quiet mind to permeate your daily life, learn and practice restorative yoga. The fee for a 1 1/2 hour session is $75. The class can be designed to address a specific problem, or provide a general wellness boost.
